Malo Art: expériences matérielles avec Mario Arlati et Stefano Pizzi

During the Milan Design Week, Malo boutique in Via Montenapoleone hosted a unique event, full of important personalities of the fashion and art world, dedicated to the environment of art, color and yarn couture: Malo Art.

A setting that matched Malo garments, created by the craftsmanship élite, and the works of Mario Arlati and Stefano Pizzi, the two great exponents of contemporary art who attended the event. Two different forms of art meeting for a magical night.

Mario Arlati stood out in 2014 with the "Living Art" project, where the artist literally painted the facades of the five skyscrapers of the Pavshino Living Art Towers residential complex on the outskirts of Moscow, designed by Dante O. Benini .

In 2017, with this project, the artist was awarded the L'Arca International Special Prize as part of the Dedalo Minosse Architecture Prize.

His art is dedicated to the informal material: in fact, matter exists through color and represents an inner image, made up of feelings and evocations concerning the landscape.

Stefano Pizzi is Professor of Painting, Head of External Relations and member of the Board of Directors at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts; he is also known by the general public for his spectacular urban installations created during the 1980s and 1990s.

In addition to painting, he devoted himself to art graphics and ceramics. The itinerary of his research has always tended to develop a comparison between painting and its support that is technically expressed in the dialogue between the painted iconography and that of the materials on which he works.

During the evening the two artists have been kindly available for photos and interviews, also recalling some moments of their life linked to the garments of the brand, and helping to create that magic that has always enveloped all that is Malo.
