How does it match - MALO

Colour Analysis is the analysis and study of colors matched to the person using the colors of the seasons. Initially used in the 80s by Hollywood stars, it has spread to the present day to suggest colors that enhance the person. A brief online guide to choose the one that best enhances us to make our wardrobe a place of pleasant well-being.

The first stage is represented by the colours we decide to wear: to understand how to find it you can have a colour analysis consultation, the historical discipline used by the greatest Hollywood stars to understand how to enhance themselves through colours.

4 Seasons

Colour Analysis divides people into 4 seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. Each of us belongs to a season to which a palette of more enhancing colors corresponds. To identify one's own, it is necessary to observe how 3 variables relate, which in each of us relate differently: the undertone (that is, the temperature of our skin, eye and hair colours, which can be cold or warm), the value (i.e. how light or dark our colors are) and intensity, i.e. brightness or saturation.

Each season has 3 very specific chromatic characteristics. If none of them stands out over the others, it is an absolute season: people who belong to an absolute season will use all the colors of the reference season, without distinction.

Those who, on the other hand, present one of the 3 characteristics predominantly with respect to the others, will belong to a subgroup. So they won't use all the colors of his season, but only those that will support their dominant.

So let's find out all 4 seasons and their subgroups.

How to discover your own palette

Colour Analysis works by repetition: this means that the colors that enhance us the most are those that repeat our chromatic characteristics, creating harmony with our face and therefore enhancing the color of the eyes, the luminosity of the skin and even the color of the hair.

Cold and delicate colours

Those who have a mix of very soft and homogeneous skin, eyes and hair will wear colours equally cool and soft with more ease.  The pastel colours and shades of sorbet such as candy pink, light blue and grey will enhance as never before people with diaphanous skin, green, blue or hazel eyes and hair in all shades of ash blonde.

Summer is a light, cool and delicate season. If an extreme clarity in the colors of the skin, eyes and hair dominates, we are faced with the Light subgroup. When, on the other hand, the first thing that catches the eye is the dustiness and delicacy of the colours, the sub-group is Soft. Finally, those who have above all very light skin and medium chromatic intensity belong to the Cool subgroup. Some celebrities who belong to the Summer season are the eternal Grace Kelly, the actress Elle Fanning and the model Bianca Balti. Among the men, the singer Harry Styles and the actor Timotheé Chalamet.

Warm and delicate colours

Canary yellow, beige, ivory, olive green, hazelnut... Warmer and softer tones light up the eyes of those with golden or peach skin, medium-dark eyes ranging from hazel to olive green and hair ranging from golden blonde to brown, mahogany red or copper.

Autumn people have warm, deep and delicate colors. Those with natural red hair or particularly golden skin belong to the Warm subgroup; those who have particularly rich and deep colors, on the other hand, are part of the Deep subgroup. Finally, those with warm but above all delicate colors belong to the Soft subgroup. Some Autumn VIPs are Sophia Loren, singer Jennifer Lopez and Meghan Markle. Among the men we find the actor Javier Bardem and the footballer David Beckham.

Cold and bright colours

The more saturated, cooler and brighter shades are those that most enhance people who have naturally lunar, contrasting and vibrant colours.

For those with very pale skin, eyes ranging from emerald-green to deep black, and white, brown ash or raven hair; but also those who have an olive and very intense complexion.

Colours such as dark blue, black, optical white and fuchsia will best enhance this contrast.

The subgroups of Winter are called Cool, Deep and Bright. Who belongs to the Cool subgroup has extremely cold colors. Winter Deep people, on the other hand, usually have an olive complexion, or on the contrary very light skin in contrast to very dark eyes and hair. Finally, people with jeweled eyes, that are light and bright, are part of the Bright subgroup. Some Winter celebrities are the actress Monica Bellucci, the singer Dua Lipa and the actress Lily Collins. Among the men, the actors George Clooney and Keanu Reeves.

Warm and bright colours

To emphasize the colours that are naturally light, warm and bright, you need the colours that most recall spring: sunny yellow, lawn green, turquoise... They are the ones that will give the most to those with a pale golden skin, hair ranging from copper red to chocolate brown, passing through wheat blond, and with bright eyes, clear and sparkling.

When brilliance dominates, especially in the color of the eyes, we are faced with an example of a Bright subgroup. If, on the other hand, the main feature is found in the clarity of the colors, the subgroup is Light. Finally, when the colors of the skin, eyes and hair are above all warm, the subgroup to which they belong is called Warm. Among the VIPs who belong to the Spring season we find the actresses Angelina Jolie, Margot Robbie and Emma Stone. Among the men, the actors Bradley Cooper and Owen Wilson.
