Masterpiece: Cashmere Light - MALO
MALO MASTERPIECE

Light Cashmere

Indispensable garments in every daily look,
from early autumn days to cool summer evenings.

A must-have to collect
in the most delicate shades
and to be superimposed to create
delicate but decisive looks;
a stratification that does not give up on comfort.

We call these garments seasonless because they keep us cool when it's hot outside
and warm when temperatures drop.

Warm in the winter, cool in the summer.

Cashmere is a noble fiber that acts as a thermal insulator, naturally able to thermo-regulate the body with respect to the external climate, protecting it from both low and high temperatures. Being a natural yarn, it allows the skin to breathe and stay fresh.

How fine is light cashmere?

Light cashmere is worked on looms for 33 days (gauge). The term gauge refers to the number of stitches per inch. The higher the number of days, the thinner the sweater will be. The 33-day loom therefore performs extremely light processes for a high quality result, achieved thanks to the half century of experience of our workers. The yarn used is an extrafine cashmere 2/48000. The name 2/48000 is due to the construction of the thread: to make 1 kg of cashmere yarn 2/48000 you need 2 threads 48000 m (48km) long twisted together. This measures how thin the yarn used is, i.e. 96km of yarn per 1 kg of cashmere.

Cashmere-silk, a precious yarn.

Cashmere-silk is a blend with exceptional characteristics, ideal for the summer. When silk, the most precious fiber in nature, meets cashmere, the best of fine wools, a refined yarn of unique and inimitable quality is born. The result: an incomparable sensation of softness and comfort.
